Fall activities have officially started. Your Hershey Panther Softball team hosted Cozad today. Panther JV won 4-2. The varsity gals played a good game, but lost 8-1. Great effort by all the girls.

FALL SPORTS MEDIA DAY & SENIOR BANNERS will take place here at Hershey on FRIDAY, August 23rd at the end of the school day! Senior Banner pictures will take place first followed by Fall Sport pictures. Seniors MUST pick up a Senior Banner Form and turn it into the office before pictures are taken! #PANTHERMOJO

TK-12 STUDENT PICTURE DAY will be THIS FRIDAY (8.23.24) for the students and staff at Hershey Public Schools! Once again, Nebraska Portraits will be taking pictures and will communicate with parents/guardians regarding ordering information after the picture day. SENIOR BANNER FORMS: Class of 2025, please print off the form for the Class of 2025 Senior Banners and have it filled out when getting your Senior Banner Pictures taken on Friday, August 23rd as a part of the Fall Sports Media Day. REMINDER: Parents and students in grades 7-12 will receive their Chromebooks THIS Thursday, August 15, starting at 7:00 PM in the Activities Center. One of our board goals for the 2024-2025 school year is to provide comprehensive instruction on the acceptable use of technology to prepare students for responsible digital citizenship. During this session, both students and parents will learn about internet safety and appropriate digital citizenship. Sara Hento, an attorney from KSB School Law, will lead the presentation and will also address the use of personal electronic devices, particularly social media. The Surgeon General released an advisory in May 2023 highlighting the impact of social media on youth mental health and has recently called for health warnings for younger users. In addition Dr. Luke McConnell will present on services he offers to the HPS district as well as a quick presentation from HPS administration.
