Hershey Public Schools is taking applications for a full-time bookkeeper. This position will handle all of the school's financial transactions and record keeping. Job duties include and are not limited to: maintaining and updating district records, accounting records, financial records, employee files and payroll records including state and federal tax forms, workers’ compensation forms, retirement forms and other government documents; recording official board minutes; coding documents according to district procedures, Nebraska Department of Education Financial & Organization Services rules and regulations, and School Board Policy; maintain confidentiality of information concerning staff, students, and parents in accordance with law and district rules. The applicant must be proficient in the use of computerized accounting software, Microsoft Word and Excel, Google Documents and Sheets, email and all forms of written and verbal communications. In addition, applicant must be proficient in other office machinery and be able to perform calculations and produce documents as requested. Exemplary interpersonal skills and attention to detail is a must. This position includes insurance and other benefits and is a supervisory position. The salary will be determined based upon experience. Education requirements include: Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or Accounting or Finance. Position will remain open until filled. EOE and Veteran’s Preference.
