On Friday 13th, Hershey Student Council delivered the Hershey Canned Food Drive donations to Hershey Sutherland Food Pantry.
This year, their efforts were a true gift. Prior to Christmas Break, the original Sutherland and Hershey Food Pantry had pipes break and water damage had destroyed many donations.
As the students showed up to the Old Fire Hall in Sutherland, the students were welcomed with smiles from Kris Forden, a volunteer helper for the pantry. Kris indicated that the can food donation was a perfectly timed delivery! She explained that these goods would replace the damaged food and help serve 40 families in the area.
