A Night with a Child Psychologist, Dr. Luke McConnell: The Connection Between Social Media and Child/Adolescent Mental Health
Please join us Tuesday, October 4 in the east gym. The presentation is intended for parents and there will be two separate offerings: (K-6- 6:30-7:30 PM) & (7-12- 7:30-8:30 PM).
This presentation is intended to help parents understand the connection between social media, screens, and gaming and the rising child/adolescent mental health crisis. Parents will have an opportunity for question and answer to address the complexities of raising children in a digital era.
Dr. McConnell is an alumni of Hershey Public Schools. Dr. McConnell earned his doctorate from Indiana University and completed his doctoral internship at Primary Children's Hospital. He completed his post-doctorate with Behavioral Medicine Associates and was in private practice with Behavioral Medicine Associates for 10 years. In 2019, Dr. McConnell formed McConnell Psychological Solutions with the goal of delivering mental health services in the school setting. Currently, Dr. McConnell serves six different school districts.
