Hershey Public School Homecoming 2022-23 was full of spirit and festivities. The week kicked off with the whole student body decorating the hallways representing different movie themes.  Seniors created a magical world of “Aladin”, Juniors filled the hallway with balloons to represent “Up.”  The Sophomores had twinkling lights and a pirates map for “Peter Pan,” and the Freshmen lined the walls with Andy’s toys, in “Toy Story.”   Finally, 7th and 8th graders transformed their hall into the world of Marvel.  Throughout the week the students dressed to show school spirit by wearing fun costumes.

The homecoming game Hershey vs. Holyoke was on September 16th, and started at 7:00 p.m. The Hershey Panthers scored on a touchdown late in the first quarter with Cooper Hill throwing to Rodee Hill for the touchdown.  The game was soon postponed due to lightning filled skies and rain drops.  The game continued on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.  The Hershey Panthers held Holyoke through half-time Holyoke 13 Hershey 12.  At halftime the Hershey Band and dazzlers did not disappoint.  The band marched and performed “Timewarp” taken from the Rocky Horror Picture Show and “Clocks” by Coldplay.  The dazzlers followed with high energy and electric moves.  Finally, the Panthers tried to battle back but to no prevail, the final score was 32 Holyoke 19 Hershey.

Following the game, the Homecoming Royalty and Court were presented.  Hershey’s Homecoming Candidates for 2022-2023 were Freshmen attendants Alexis Truesdale and Jaydon Parker, Sophomore attendants Katie Abbott and Jordan Arensdorf, and Junior attendants Paige Tridle and Kaden Thompson. The Senior Royalty this year were Amelia Walter, Elizabeth Schmitt, Eva McConnell, Calie Troyer, Cruz Brooks, Cole Schwager, Jace Zahl, and Aidan George. The Homecoming Queen and King for 2022-23 were Eva McConnell and Cruz Brooks.  To conclude the week the students attended the Homecoming Dance that night, from 8-11:00.
