Ag Teacher Donavan Phoenix Speaks With Parents and Students at FFA Kick-Off Night

This past Friday night, Hershey Public Schools celebrated a first!  Ag Instructor and FFA Sponsor, Mr. Donavan Phoenix  held a wonderful FFA kick-off night.  The cafeteria was full of excited students and parents.  The Lincoln County Cattlemen's Association, donated hamburger patties and also grilled them, Hershey State Bank provided water and Mr. Phoenix did a wonderful job with the organization of a new event and in presenting  FFA curriculum components.  The Hershey FFA Chapter also recognized Senator Mike Jacobson for his generous donation of two classroom sets of FFA jackets!  On display, were Senator Jacobson's personal FFA jackets which he wore for his school chapter at Sutton and his National Officer jacket!  This donation of jackets for our students will provide opportunities to compete and participate in various FFA competitions and events for years to come.

FFA members Calie Troyer and Ceiden Childears, did a wonderful job to help Mr. Phoenix prepare and organize this event.  The Hershey FFA Chapter is incredibly thankful for all of the support and generosity they have received from these generous sponsors and community members!
