My name is Ashley Bailey, and I am excited for the opportunity to join Hershey Public Schools next year. I live in North Platte with my husband Ryan and our two children, Addison and Riggs. Ryan and I have been married for 8 years. Addison (5-almost 6) is a kindergartner who loves dancing and singing, and Riggs turns one in May and is constantly on the move. My interests include traveling, Husker football and volleyball, Chicago Cubs baseball, and going for walks as a family. I also have some favorite TV shows that I cannot miss;).
I am originally from Cody, Nebraska, where I graduated from a small school and was in a class of 17. I am from a family of teachers. My mom just retired from teaching last year. My brother teaches High School Math, and my sister-in-law teaches 1st grade. I graduated from Chadron State College in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood Endorsement. I also graduated with a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Peru State College. The 2022-23 school year will be my 14th year of teaching. Throughout the previous 13 years, I taught Kindergarten for 10 years and 2nd grade for 3 years, all in North Platte Public Schools. I am excited to join your small school family and watch my children experience a similar education experience like I experienced. Some of my best memories are from growing up in a small town and attending a small school. I love the family feel that small schools offer, and I am looking forward to joining the Hershey family!
