SPVA Music

On March 14, 2022 the Hershey Panther Pride Band under the direction of Mrs. Rebecca Brittenham, assisted by Lori Evans, had numerous instrumental students and groups receive best of class and superior ratings at South Platte Valley Association Conference Music Contest in Imperial.  Hershey’s Jazz Band received a Superior/Best of Class rating as well as the Percussion Ensemble.  The following students received Best of Class for their solos: Jane Fischer–flute, Tierinie Viter-Zogg–clarinet, Kayla McNeel–trombone, Katie Abbott--baritone, Cruz Brooks–tuba, and Tyler Abbott–snare drum.   Duet groups that received a Best of Class rating were Tierinie Viter-Zogg and Audrey Shutts–clarinet duet, Tierinie Viter-Zogg and Emma Kramer–clarinet/trumpet duet, Eryka Anderson and Emma Kramer–trumpet duet, Kayla McNeel and Katie Abbott–trombone/baritone duet, and Cruz Brooks and Katie Abbott–tuba duet. Students receiving Superior ratings were Avalon Quick--flute solo, Aubrie Martino-Zogg–snare solo, and Ceiden Childears–alto sax solo.  

Hershey also had vocal music contestants that received awards for their performances at SPVA music.  Under the direction of Mrs. Sara Anderson, the High School Choir received a Best of Class rating in the Girl’s Ensemble Division.   Students receiving Superior ratings were Evie Lewis - girl’s low voice solo and Kristyn Woolley and Evie Lewis - girl’s duet.
