Tree Board

J. Sterling Morton was a Nebraska journalist who later became US Agriculture Secretary.  Morton’s love of nature and trees has led us to this year’s 149th celebration.   Generally every year the fourth grade class joins the Hershey Tree Board and a special guest and plant trees in the area parks. This year’s Arbor Day Celebration was a virtual event.  But that didn’t stop our fourth grade classes from using their creativity to help celebrate this national holiday that originated in Nebraska.  Our fourth graders submitted their artistic logo ideas to the Hershey Tree Board.  Fourth graders also read the Arbor Day Proclamation and their video was shared on the Village’s Facebook page.
