From the Classroom to the Principal's Office — A True Hershey Panther Through and Through!
October is National Principals Month, and we couldn't let this special month go by without recognizing someone who is truly one of the HEARTS of Hershey Public Schools — our incredible Elementary Principal, Mr. Thomsen!
Mr. Thomsen has been a dedicated member of the Hershey Panther family since 2015, and what a journey it has been! He started his career at Hershey as an elementary teacher, went on to serve as our Activities Director, and eventually found his way back to the elementary hallways as our Elementary Principal. Through every role, one thing has remained the same — his unwavering dedication to our students, staff, and school!
Let's be serious for a moment... our elementary school simply wouldn't run the same without Mr. Thomsen! He is the person who keeps things moving, problems solved, questions answered, and the wheels turning — often while juggling about a hundred things at once!
From supporting teachers and encouraging students to handling the everyday surprises that come with running an elementary school, Mr. Thomsen does it all with dedication, patience, and a genuine love for what he does.
But what makes Mr. Thomsen truly special isn't just how much he does — it's how much he cares. He leads by example, puts students first, supports his staff, and works tirelessly behind the scenes to make Hershey Elementary a place where students feel welcomed, encouraged, and excited to learn.
His years of service, leadership, and commitment have made a tremendous impact on Hershey Public Schools. We are beyond fortunate to have someone who knows our school, believes in our students, and gives so much of himself to making our elementary school the best it can be.
Mr. Thomsen, THANK YOU! Thank you for your countless hours, your leadership, your willingness to go above and beyond, and for being such an important part of what makes Hershey Public Schools special.
You are appreciated more than words can express, and we hope you know just how much of a difference you make every single day!
Happy National Principals Month, Mr. Thomsen! Hershey Elementary wouldn't be the same without you, and we wouldn't want it any other way! 💙🐾
