Hershey Public Schools is excited to welcome our families and community members to join our TK–12 students in celebrating Homecoming on Friday, October 2!
Our students will come together Friday afternoon for the Homecoming Parade, followed by a TK–12 Pep Rally in the Activity Center. We invite parents, families, and community members to join us as we celebrate Panther Pride across our district.
Homecoming Parade & Road Closure
Beginning around 1:00 PM, S. Lincoln Avenue from Railroad Street south to near Roundabout will be closed to traffic for the Homecoming Parade.
Our TK–6 students will line both sides of S. Lincoln Avenue to watch and support the parade as it travels through Hershey. Students will be supervised by HPS staff throughout the event.
Parents, families, and community members are encouraged to find a spot along the parade route and enjoy the celebration with us. Please plan accordingly for the road closure and additional traffic in the area.
TK–12 Homecoming Pep Rally — Around 2:00 PM
Following the parade, our elementary students will transition to the Activity Center, where they will join our junior high and high school students for a TK–12 Homecoming Pep Rally. We anticipate the pep rally beginning at approximately 2:00 PM.
Families and community members are welcome to attend!
Because our TK–12 students will occupy the majority of the Activity Center bleachers, we ask guests to sit near the top of the bleachers or wait to fill available seating until our students have been seated. Your cooperation will help us safely and efficiently seat our students before welcoming guests into the remaining spaces.
Parking
Those attending the parade or pep rally are encouraged to park in the South Gravel Lot or West Crushed Rock Parking Lot.
We strongly encourage visitors to arrive early to allow additional time for parking, walking to the parade route, and finding a viewing location. Parking and traffic throughout the area may be impacted by the road closure.
Come Celebrate With Us!
Homecoming is an opportunity to bring together our students, staff, families, alumni, and community to celebrate what makes Hershey Public Schools special.
We look forward to seeing our Panther community along the parade route and in the Activity Center as we celebrate Homecoming together!
