We hope all of our Hershey Panther families are enjoying the first few days of summer break! As we begin summer vacation, we wanted to share a few important updates, opportunities, and reminders to help students stay connected, engaged, and learning throughout the summer months.
📬 Teacher Placement Letters
Please keep an eye out in the mail for your child’s teacher placement for the 2026–27 school year. All placement letters will be mailed out on Friday, May 29.

📚 ☀️ IXL SUMMER CHALLENGE ☀️ 📚
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
At the end of the school year, students received their individual IXL Launch Cards along with report cards. Each Launch Card includes:
✅ Personalized QR Code
✅ Student Username
✅ Student Password
Since Hershey Public Schools will not be offering summer school this year, IXL provides an excellent opportunity for students to continue practicing important academic skills and remain engaged in learning all summer long.
💡 Challenge Details
📅 Challenge Runs: June 1 – August 1, 2026 (11:45 PM)
🎯 Goal: Correctly answer 2,500 questions at or above grade level
🎉 Reward: Students who complete the challenge will earn a Pizza Party with Mr. Thomsen at the start of the 2026–27 school year!
👦👧 Who Can Participate?
Students who completed Kindergarten through 6th Grade.
