Hershey High School celebrated the outstanding academic achievements, leadership, and service of students in grades 7-12 during the 2026 Academic Honors Ceremony on Tuesday at Hershey Public Schools.

The ceremony recognized students who demonstrated excellence in the classroom throughout the school year by earning placement on the Honor Roll, All A Honor Roll, and A Average Honor Roll. Junior high and high school "Students of the Month" were also honored for their leadership, character, citizenship, and commitment to excellence.

HRA highlight of the ceremony was the recognition of Hershey’s top senior ACT performers in the South Platte Valley Association (SPVA) Conference Academic Award contest. Senior JT Lantis led the way with a composite ACT score of 31, earning 7th place overall in the conference standings. Lantis was also recognized as the Class of 2026 Valedictorian. Jaydon Parker was honored as the Salutatorian for the graduating class.

VALSALTeammates mentors distributed graduation cords and scholarship awards to deserving students, recognizing their dedication to mentorship, leadership, and academic success. Students who participated in the National Honor Society Red Cross Blood Drive initiative were also recognized for their commitment to serving others and supporting the community through blood donations.

BDHershey High School also celebrated student success in career and technical education programs. FBLA member Lillian Fuchser was recognized for qualifying for the FBLA National Leadership Conference, an outstanding accomplishment representing Hershey on the national stage.

LFSkillsUSA participants and award winners were honored for their achievements in technical and skilled trade competitions throughout the year. Students earning awards in various career pathways showcased the strength of Hershey’s career readiness and workforce development programs.

SkillsUSAThe ceremony also included recognition of senior scholarship recipients, highlighting the significant academic, athletic, leadership, and community service scholarships earned by members of the graduating class.

In addition to student honors, Hershey Public Schools recognized Ms. Emily Kammerer, Hershey’s Agriculture Education and FFA instructor, as the 2026 HPS Teacher of the Year. Kammerer was honored for her dedication to students, commitment to agricultural education, and the positive impact she has made within Hershey Public Schools.
