Hershey Public Schools is pleased to announce the hiring of Lyndsey Douglas as the new 7–12 Principal beginning with the 2026–2027 school year.
Douglas brings a strong background in instructional leadership, curriculum development, and school improvement. She currently serves as the Director of Elementary Teaching & Learning at North Platte Public Schools, where she leads districtwide efforts in curriculum, assessment, and academic programming.
In her current role, Douglas oversees state and national assessments, supports school improvement efforts, and ensures alignment of curriculum and instruction across schools. She has also led professional development for staff and supported principals in strengthening instructional practices.
Prior to her district leadership role, Douglas served as the principal at Eisenhower Elementary from 2018 to 2021. During that time, she focused on improving student engagement, strengthening school culture, and supporting high-quality teaching and learning.
Douglas began her career as an elementary teacher in North Platte, where she spent ten years building strong classroom practices and working collaboratively to improve student outcomes.
She holds an Educational Specialist degree from Doane College and has earned master’s degrees in Educational Leadership and Curriculum and Instruction. She also holds a Nebraska Standard Administrative Certificate with endorsements in Superintendent PK–12 and Principal PK–12.
