Hershey Public Schools recently welcomed Nicole Johnk, Representative from the American Red Cross, for a special assembly focused on the importance of blood donation and how even our youngest Panthers can help make a life-saving difference.

During the assembly, students learned how donated blood supports patients facing emergencies, surgeries, cancer treatments, and other serious medical needs. The message was clear: one donation can help save multiple lives.

Our very own Jaydon Parker, Blood Program Leader, is leading the charge for this year’s community blood drive. Jaydon currently needs 17 additional donors to reach his goal — and we know our Panther community can step up!

🩸 Hershey Community Blood Drive

Date: Monday, March 2, 2026
Location: Hershey High School – Competition Gym
Time: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM

We are asking our elementary students to help save lives by recruiting a family member, neighbor, or friend to donate blood at the drive. This is a powerful way for our students to show leadership, compassion, and community pride.

If your child recruits a donor:

  • Please complete the attached form

  • Return the form to school prior to the blood drive

  • Students who successfully recruit a donor may receive a special gift as a thank you for helping save lives

This is a wonderful opportunity for our Panthers to live out our values of responsibility, kindness, and service to others. Together, we can help Jaydon reach his goal and make a meaningful impact in our community.

Thank you for supporting this important cause — and thank you for being a part of what makes Hershey such a special place. 🐾
