These students have qualified to participate in the upcoming Lincoln County Spelling Bee! We are proud of their hard work and dedication and are excited to represent Hershey Public Schools at this county-wide event.

✔ Check-in: 8:30 AM
✔ Welcome: 8:50 AM
✔ 5th Grade: 9:00 AM
✔ 6th Grade: 9:30 AM (tentative)
✔ 7th Grade: 10:00 AM (tentative)
✔ 8th Grade: 10:30 AM (tentative)
🏆 Final Round: 11:00 AM (tentative)

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Open to the Public:
Families and community members are welcome to attend and support our students!

📌 Important Reminders:
📄 Permission slips were sent home — please return them as soon as possible.
🚌 Transportation will be provided if needed.

🚗 Transportation Details:
• Students riding with the school will travel in a school vehicle driven by Mr. Thomsen (Elementary Principal).
• Students using school transportation should meet at the district office at 7:15 AM.
• We will leave promptly at 7:20 AM.
• If you prefer to drive your child, they may meet us at the venue. Please ensure they arrive no later than 8:25 AM.

🍔 Meal Stop After the Bee:
After the spelling bee concludes, we will stop for a meal in North Platte.
➡️ Students should bring money for this.

👔👗 Dress Expectations:
As representatives of Hershey Public Schools, please encourage your child to dress nicely and appropriately for the event.

📚 Brief Rules Reminder:
• Students may ask for the word to be repeated, used in a sentence, defined, or for the word’s origin before spelling.
• Once spelling begins, students must complete the word clearly and correctly.
• One misspelling results in elimination.
• Judges’ decisions are final.
