Hershey Public Schools is excited to announce the hiring of April Frickey as the new Hershey Panther Varsity Volleyball Head Coach.
Frickey brings more than two decades of experience within the Hershey Volleyball Program, having served since 2001 in multiple roles including assistant high school coach, club volleyball coach, and head junior high coach. Her long-standing involvement with the program and deep connection to the Hershey community make her a natural fit to lead the Panthers at the varsity level.
Outside of coaching, Frickey has built an accomplished professional career with Walmart, where she has worked since 2005 in a variety of leadership roles. She currently serves as a Senior Manager on the Grocery Dedicated Transportation Team.
“I am very excited for this opportunity and grateful to continue working with our student-athletes and families in a new role,” Frickey shared. “Hershey volleyball has always meant a great deal to me.”
April and her husband, Daniel Frickey are proud members of the Hershey community. She is the mother of Kearsyn (fiancé Dustin), Lexi, and Aidan, and a proud grandmother to Kinsley and Knixon. In addition to coaching and family life, Frickey serves on the Lincoln County Ag Society Board and is the Entertainment and Fair Committee Head. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, and creating lasting memories at the family farm.
Hershey Public Schools looks forward to the leadership, passion, and commitment Coach Frickey will bring to the Panther volleyball program as she guides the team into the future.
