The Hershey Panther Pride Marching Band showcased its talent on a national stage during a once-in-a-lifetime trip to San Antonio, Texas, where the group performed as part of the 2025 Valero Alamo Bowl festivities.

MBA total of 34 Hershey High School band members traveled to Texas from December 26 through January 1, accompanied by band directors Mrs. Brittenham and Mrs. Evans, along with a dedicated group of parent sponsors. The experience was coordinated through WorldStrides’ Alamo Bowl Marching Band Program, which brings outstanding student musicians from across the country together for one of college football’s premier bowl games.

While in San Antonio, students participated in multiple rehearsals and performance opportunities, culminating in their appearance during official Alamo Bowl events at the Alamodome, performing in front of tens of thousands of fans. The Panther Pride Marching Band performed alongside other high-achieving bands from across the United States, representing Hershey Public Schools with pride, professionalism, and Panther spirit.

Beyond the performance, the trip provided students with a rich educational and cultural experience. Students explored historic San Antonio landmarks, including the River Walk and The Alamo, while also building lasting friendships and memories with fellow musicians.
