Hershey Public Schools is proud to recognize Avery Thompson as the December Junior High Student of the Month. Avery, a seventh-grade student, exemplifies academic excellence, strong character, and Panther Pride through her positive attitude and involvement in school activities.
Avery is actively involved in volleyball, basketball, track and field, choir, Sparklers Dance team, and the Teammates mentoring program. She balances a busy schedule with impressive academic performance, consistently demonstrating responsibility, motivation, and a desire to grow. Her teachers describe her as a student who brings enthusiasm and effort to every environment she enters.
On staff member said that “Avery brings a consistently positive attitude and gives outstanding effort day in and day out. She takes pride in doing things the right way and sets a high standard for herself in the classroom. Avery’s kind and caring nature makes her a joy to have in class and a valued student at HPS.” Another teacher commented “Avery is a dedicated student-athlete who always strives to improve. She demonstrates maturity beyond her years, showing great focus, teamwork, and determination in everything she does.”
Avery represents the very best of Hershey Public Schools through her commitment to excellence, kindness, and involvement across a wide range of activities. She continues to make a meaningful impact both in the classroom and beyond.
