Several Hershey High School students recently attended the Health Careers Camp at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, led by Dr. Doug Long. Joining students from Sutherland and Paxton, the participants explored a variety of hands-on medical experiences designed to spark interest in healthcare professions.

HCStudents practiced suturing simulations while dressed in full surgical attire, learned how to start IVs on training models, and applied tourniquets for IV draws. The immersive activities gave students a firsthand look at the precision and teamwork required in medical settings.

HCThe camp provided an excellent opportunity for Hershey students to gain practical skills and insight into the many career paths available in the health sciences.
