Hershey Public Schools proudly congratulates Mrs. Shanna Duggan, Title I teacher, on being selected as a recipient of the 2025 John Russell Applegate Fund for Teachers, administered by the Mid-Nebraska Community Foundation.
Mrs. Duggan’s awarded project, titled “Blue Tooth Translator Earbuds,” aims to enhance classroom communication and accessibility by providing technology that bridges language barriers and supports inclusive instruction.
The grant will be used to purchase Bluetooth translation earbuds to assist students in real-time communication and comprehension. This initiative reflects Mrs. Duggan’s commitment to meeting the diverse needs of all learners and ensuring equitable educational opportunities for every child.
The John Applegate Training & Support Grant supports educators throughout Mid-Nebraska who bring forward ideas that strengthen instruction and improve student outcomes.
