Hershey School honored Veterans on Monday with a community celebration.  The Hershey band, under the direction of Mrs. Lori Evans, welcomed students, staff, and patrons of the community with a rendition of the Armed Forces on Parade.  Members of American Legion Post #279 presented the colors and the audience joined the Hershey band in singing The Star Spangled Banner.  Krista Schufeldt shared her experience as a representative at Cornhusker Girls’ State and Victor Grandy shared his experience in training as a Jr. Law Cadet.  Students in grades K-6 sang several patriotic songs under the direction of Mrs. Teresa Rotert.  Students in grades 3-6 also shared America’s White Table Ceremony with the audience which honors POWs and MIAs.  The program ended with junior Malachi Murtaugh and sophomore Hope Boggs playing Taps.  Thank you to all who helped Hershey Public Schools honor our Veterans.
