We in the process of concreting part of the asphalt parking lot that was in terrible condition. Our goal
is to replace the asphalt with concrete in the rest of the parking lot over the next couple of summers.
We also remodeled what used to be the junior technology room into a math classroom for the
additional math teacher we hired this year. The custodians are to be commended for all of their hard
work over the summer time. The building and grounds really look great.
The Nebraska Department of Education will notify us on August 13th as to how our students
performed on the statewide reading, writing, science and math assessment last spring. I will notify
you of the results in a newsletter as soon as they become available for publication.
Our monthly newsletter will be available on our school website which will soon have a new look. Our
website is http://www.hpspanthers.org. I hope that you find our new website full of useful
information. If you would prefer to receive a hardcopy of the newsletter please call Stacy at 368-
5572 informing her of your mailing address and we will continue to send you a paper copy. The
student handbook will be available on our website rather than in paper form unless requested by a
student or parent. I am hoping that this change will make our newsletter and handbooks more readily
available to you and also save cases of paper.
Have a great month and feel free to stop by my office or give me a call if you have any questions or
