Do You Want to Play College Sports? You Need More Than Just a High School Diploma!

Understand the Rules Behind the NCAA Clearinghouse

Do you have a dream of becoming a collegiate athlete after you graduate from High School?  If you do, there is more to it than simply graduating with a high school diploma.  The NCAA has strict rules about the academic qualifications of the athletes that want to play in Division I or Division II schools.  The first thing that you need to do, is to create a login with the NCAA Eligibility Center at eligibilitycenter.org.  In order to meet the criteria necessary you must do the following:

1.  Receive a High School Diploma

2.  Complete 16 NCAA approved Core Courses with a minimum 2.3 GPA for Division I and a 2.2 GPA for Division II

3.  Earn a minimum GPA

4.  Earn an ACT or SAT that matches your core-course GPA.

Start planning for NCAA eligibility in 9th grade and stay on pace.  A reference guide is located at the link below.
