October 2012 Newsletter

October 11, 2012

The 2012-2013 school year is a month over and things are running very smoothly. Currently our enrollment is 528 students compared to 508 last year for grades K-12. We have twenty-five kids in our preschool program.

I want to encourage everyone to stay in touch with your child(s) teacher. Stay informed of what your student is doing well and what he/she needs assistance with. I cannot emphasize enough how important communication is in improving student performance.

Congratulations to Mrs. Alison Smith who received the “Readers Choice” teacher of the year award in the North Platte Telegraph. Mrs. Smith is very deserving of the honor.

We will still be calling the following news media to inform them of a late start or closing so you may want to listen to one of the following radio or TV stations: KNOP-TV, KX104/KODY radio,KOLN-TV, NTV, KOGA radio, and KELN/KOOQ radio.

Make sure to stop by my office or give me a call if you ever have any questions or comments.
